How we collect, use, store and protect your personal data, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
SYTN ("SYTN", "we", "us") is currently a project under development, operated by its founding team; it is not yet an incorporated company. A dedicated legal entity will be established following a successful private funding round and will then be registered under a dual Swiss-Italian jurisdiction before the public presale opens. Until incorporation, the project is run by its founding team, which you can contact for any privacy matter at founder@sytnfinance.com. Once the entity is incorporated, this section will be updated with its full legal details (name, form, registered office and registration number) and, where required, the contact details of a Data Protection Officer — and that update will be published before the public presale begins.
When you register for the private allocation we collect: your full name, the name of your entity or fund (if provided), email address, phone number and your indicative ticket size. When you join the public waitlist we collect: your email address and your jurisdiction/region. In both cases we also record, for accountability purposes, the consents you gave, the date and time of those consents, the version of this policy you accepted, and minimal technical data (IP address and browser user-agent at the moment of submission).
We process your data to manage your registration, to send you the double opt-in confirmation email, and to contact you about the private allocation or the public sale that you asked to hear about. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give explicitly via the checkboxes on the form and confirm by clicking the link in our confirmation email. Where we later carry out AML/KYC/KYB checks as part of an actual sale, the basis for that processing will be compliance with a legal obligation and/or the performance of a contract, and you will receive separate information at that stage.
After you submit a form, we send an email asking you to confirm your address. We only add you to the relevant communication list once you click that confirmation link. If you never confirm, your record is treated as unconfirmed and is not used for marketing.
We rely on a small number of carefully chosen service providers acting as data processors on our instructions: a database hosted in the European Union, an EU-based email delivery provider for the confirmation and notification emails, and our website/edge hosting provider. Because the project is not yet incorporated, the definitive list of these processors and the formal data-processing agreements with each of them will be specified and put in place once the company is established, before the public presale opens; where any provider may process data outside the EEA, the appropriate safeguard relied on (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision) will be specified at the same time. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Your registration data is stored in a database hosted in the European Union. Email delivery is handled by an EU-based provider. Some infrastructure (for example edge/CDN hosting) may route requests through servers outside the EEA; where this happens we rely on appropriate safeguards as described above.
We keep your registration data for as long as necessary to manage the presale process and our relationship with you. The definitive retention period will be set once the company is incorporated; it will in any case be no shorter than 24 months from your last interaction, unless a longer period is required by law (for example AML record-keeping once you become a participant). You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time (see section 9).
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored in a database protected by row-level security, accessible only by our server-side functions using credentials that are never exposed in the browser. Access is restricted on a need-to-know basis.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You can exercise any of these rights, or unsubscribe, by emailing founder@sytnfinance.com or by using the unsubscribe link in our emails. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority (for example, in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
This site currently uses only essential functionality and does not set marketing or analytics cookies. If analytics or other non-essential cookies are introduced in the future, this section will be updated and, where required, your consent will be requested beforehand.
We may update this policy from time to time. The version and date are shown at the top. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated to confirmed contacts where appropriate.
